Linda Sue Nevius Jenkins, 70, of Clanton died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012.

She was born on Thursday, May 7, 1942, in Arkansas, daughter of the late David C. Nevius and the late Marilyn A. Bleckler Nevius.

She was a retired owner of The Daisy Shop Flower and Gifts in Mountain Home, Ark; member of the Alpha Omega Chapter of Delta Gamma Sorority at the University of Arkansas; member of Eastern Star; and lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Mountain Home, Ark.

Surviving are her husband of 49 years, Minor Ross Jenkins Jr. of Clanton; two daughters, Robin (Chip) Hill of Montgomery and Jennifer (Mike) Branch of Florence, Ore.; son, Minor Ross Jenkins III of Tuscaloosa; two sisters, Davalee Nevius Hitchcock of Murphy, N.C. and Cindy Nevius Sanders of Kemah, Texas; four granddaughters, Hannah Branch of Florence, Ore., Haley Jenkins of Tuscaloosa, Linda Hill of Montgomery and Jessica Jenkins of Tuscaloosa; six nieces and seven nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Anita Holifield.

A memorial service will be held Monday, Aug. 27 at 2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Clanton.
