Donald Ray Morris

Donald Ray Morris, age 40 of the Providence community in north Chilton County, passed away on Aug. 9, 2012, at Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster.

He was born on July 27, 1972, in Decatur, Ga., the son of Jerry and Bertie Morris.

He was a carpenter working in residential construction.

He is survived by: wife, Eunice Morris of Montevallo; daughter, Ashley (Ran) Morris; son, Daryn (Kelsey) Morris; grandson, Easton Morris; parents, Jerry and Bertie Morris; brother, Jerry Morris Jr.; brother, Ricky Morris; brother, Verton Morris; sister, Teresa (Brent) Brumley; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug. 11 from 5-8 p.m. at Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Aug. 12 at 3 p.m. from the Memorial Chapel of Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Mims and the Rev. Kelvin Smitherman officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Hope Baptist Cemetery in Jemison.

Final care and arrangements entrusted to the Ellison-Cleckler Funeral Home of Clanton.
