Sara Ann Winter, 54, of Jemison died Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Homeland Assisted Living in Jemison.

She was born on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1957, in Jefferson County, daughter of the late James Winter and the late Hazel Willis Winter.

Surviving are two sisters, Sherry (Joel) Gilmore of Jemison and Carol (Dare) Lowrey of Jemison; nephew, Cody Lowrey of Daphne; niece, Morgan Gilmore of Jemison; aunt, Glenda (Jimmy) Wade of McCalla;   cousins, Billy and Sherry Kellum of Birmingham, Wesley and Brenda Wade of McCalla, and Mitch and Melanie Davis of Gulf Shores; and a host of other friends and family, especially the extended family she had at Homeland Assisted Living, who loved her dearly and treated her as their own.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Hazel Winter.

Friends will be received from 10-11 a.m., Saturday, July 28 at Macedonia Baptist Church.

Services will be held Saturday, July 28 at 11 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church in Maplesville with the Rev. Rex Kent and the Rev. David Bishop officiating.

Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Cemetery in Maplesville.
