Masons install new officers

The Clanton Masons cook and sell Boston butts four times a year to raise money for local charities.

The Clanton Masonic Lodge No. 423 held its officer installation ceremony and dinner July 10 at the Clanton Lodge Building.

After a covered dish dinner, the following officers were installed:

•Worshipful Master: Bro. James Herbert Ray

•Senior Warden: Bro. Christopher Gowin Speaks

•Junior Warden: Bro. Minter Jackson Hayes

•Treasurer: Bro. Danny Keith Carter

•Secretary: Bro. John Michael Welborn

•Chaplain: Bro. Samuel Brooks Hayes

•Marshal: Bro. Robert Jay Waid III

•Senior Deacon: Bro. Charles David Niles

•Junior Deacon: Bro. Charles Bradley McLaughlin

•Senior Steward: Bro. Michael Anthony Connell

•Junior Steward: Bro. James Scott Ray

•Tiler: Bro. Willard Randall Mahan

•Historian: Bro. Andrew Alan Ellison

Master Jim Ray said the Clanton Masons cook and sell Boston butts four times a year to raise funds for charity.

“We give a lot of money over the course of the year to different charities throughout Chilton County,” Ray said.
