The Clanton Elementary School student was named Little Miss Peach on Saturday night.

Though it was McGhar’s first Peach Pageant, she has previously placed as first alternate in five other pageants.

“It’s great. I love being a Peach Queen,” McGhar said after the pageant. “I’m so excited.”

As new Peach Royalty, McGhar said she’s looking forward to meeting Gov. Robert Bentley.

In addition to winning the crown, McGhar also won the evening’s casual wear portion.

She is the daughter of Brandon McGhar and was sponsored by Pate’s Plumbing and Mini Storage.

Her court included first alternate Lilly Speaks, second alternate Mattie Woodall, third alternate Addison Hayes and fourth alternate Ivie Littleton.
