Advertiser names All-Area Softball team

Published 4:15pm Friday, June 8, 2012

The Clanton Advertiser’s annual All-Area Softball Team represents the best the sport has to offer locally.

Selections are based on coach’s nominations, statistics and overall team success.

Players were assigned positions based on where they played most during the season, but an effort was also made to include the 12 most deserving players on the first team and the next 12 on the second team.

The first and second teams demonstrate a stark difference in experience: there are only two first-teamers who aren’t a senior or a junior, while there are only two second-teamers who aren’t a freshman or sophomore.
