“The Lord said unto my Lord, sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.  He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries. He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.” (Psalms 110: 1-7)

Thought for the week: “Be strong”
“Be strong! We are not here to play, to dream, to drift; we have hard work to do, and loads to lift; shun not the struggle—face it, tis God’s gift. Be strong! Say not, “The days are evil, who’s to blame?” and fold the hands and acquiesce—oh shame! Stand up, speak out, and bravely, in God’s name. Be strong! It matters not how deep intrenched the wrong, how hard the battle goes, the day how long; faint not—fight on! Tomorrow comes the song.”

Announcements
Worship service at Holly Grove Baptist Church in Jemison began with praise service by the senior choir with songs, scripture and prayer. Songs sung: “Pass Me Not,”  “I’ll Fly Away,”  and “I Love Jesus.” The scripture was read by Perry Nunn with prayer by Pastor Dukes, Perry Nunn and Bro. J.D. Allison. The morning message was given by Pastor Dukes with his theme: “Getting Used To God.” When you do you try to anticipate him, you can’t. If the order is not right, it won’t be; he does things on decency and in order. Read Numbers 4. Don’t allow the devil to come unto you, don’t try to summarize what God does; seek God but seek him his way.  David went at it the wrong way by getting the people together; when you seek him you will get a blessing. God gave instructions how to handle yourself in his house. Do things God’s way. When you get used to something, you do not fear or respect it, but the fear of God is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and knowledge. Disobedience happens when you get too comfortable with God. Remember the Levites. Don’t do things the wrong way; he is the way, truth and light. Don’t put the ark on a cart. Carry it. False worship leads to no fellowship with God; you are really praising your self. You have the music and crowd but not God. Read Revelation 2:4. God does not adjust to us; we adjust to him. What is your God—cars, land and money? Seek him first; it’s better to trust God than put confidence in man. Don’t let God’s anger turn on you. Fellowship was shared by Pastor Dukes, deacons and congregation.
On our sick list this week we ask you to remember in your prayers:  Jerry Wilson, Harold Frazier, Latoya Allison, Ethel Nunn, Sam and Vivian Hicks, Gussie Saxon, Michelle Austin, Rene Dickerson and Lee Ana Worthey. May God heal, strengthen and keep them in His care is our prayer.
