Carter-Bridges engagement

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Wayne Carter of Billingsley are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Alison Michelle, to Charles Devin Bridges, son of Mr. Charles David Bridges of Wetumpka, and the late Mrs. Rhonda Jean Bridges of Montgomery.

The bride elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lee Carter of Billingsley, the late Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Smith of Verbena and the late Mr. Albert Klein of Lubbock, Texas.

CARTER-BRIDGES

She is a graduate of Billingsley High School. She received a Bachelor of Science in elementary education from Auburn University in Montgomery and a master’s in elementary education from the University of Montevallo.

She is currently employed as a teacher with the Chilton County Board of Education. The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Shirley Byrd and the late Mr. Riley Dion Byrd Sr. of Montgomery and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Rector of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

He is a graduate of Stanhope Elmore High School. He received an associate degree in telecommunications from Trenholm Technical College in Montgomery.

He is currently employed with Charter Communications.

The wedding is planned for June 2, 2012, at First Baptist Church in Montgomery.
