Bears eliminated in first round of baseball playoffs

Billingsley dropped its series at Reeltown on Friday, eliminating the Bears (11-15) from the Class 2A state playoffs.

Reeltown, the host team, won the first game, 13-3 in five innings, and the second game, 6-1.

In the first game, Matt Lawrence, Thomas Nichols and Matt Prebula all had hits and runs batted in for Billingsley.

Dalton Acreman had two hits in the second game.
