Billingsley wins area tiebreaker

Billingsley defeated Isabella, 9-7, on Saturday in an area tiebreaker game played at Jack Hayes Field in Clanton.

The two teams split their two regular season games and finished tied for second place in the area, making Saturday’s game necessary.

The win gives the Bears the right to participate in the Class 2A state playoffs beginning Friday.

As area runner-up to Thorsby, Billingsley will travel in the first round.
