The Central Alabama Red Devils lost their first game of the season after a failed two-point conversion with less than 1 minute remaining in the game.

The Georgia Titans beat the Red Devils, 7-6, on Feb. 25.

The Titans returned a punt 75 yards for a touchdown late in the third quarter for the first score of the game.

Central Alabama finally got on the scoreboard with 41 seconds remaining to play in the game, on a Jamar Hopson run. The Devils went for two and the win but couldn’t find the end zone.

Central Alabama then recovered an onside kick but ran out of time to advance the football.

The Devils recorded 10 first downs in the game to two for the Titans.

Eric Argo ran the ball six times for 46 yards, and Hopson had nine carries for 41 yards to go along with one catch for 17 yards.

Christian Briscoe had two catches for 27 yards, and Joshua Jones caught one pass for 25 yards.

Clayton Payne completed three passes in six attempts for 56 yards.
