Patriots fall in championship game

Chilton Christian Academy’s girls basketball team lost to Victory Christian (Columbus, Miss.), 39-21, in the Alabama Christian Education Athletic Association state championship game at Shelton State Community College on Saturday.

The appearance in the state finals is the farthest a CCA girls team has ever advanced in the association’s Division I.

CCA advanced to the championship game by defeating Tuscaloosa Christian, 36-30, on Feb. 24.
