Ervin Joiner

Ervin Joiner, 91, of Clanton, passed away Feb. 2, 2012, in Montgomery.

He was born Dec. 21, 1920, in Holly Pond, near Cullman, to Charles W. and Atlas Joiner.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Addie Trimble Joiner.

Ervin was a graduate of Cullman High School. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was retired from AT&T where he was employed for more than 45 years.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clanton as well as the Kiwanis Club.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Joiner, Montgomery; Steve Joiner and two granddaughters, Michele and Dixie Joiner, Odessa, Texas; daughters, Jan Williamson (Keith), Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Kathy Smith (Keith) and four grandchildren, Taylor Tanner (Johnny), Corey, Whit and Boyd Smith, Zionsville, Ind.
