Adele Putirskis, 98, of Verbena died Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2011.

She was born Sunday, Aug. 17, 1913, in Ohio, daughter of the late Syvester Vider and the late Katherine Aksouajtis Vider.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her son, Walter (Ester) Putirskis of California; daughter, Judith (Thomas) Duke of Verbena; three grandchildren, Ronda Atkins of Birmingham, William Joseph (Liberty) Duke of Verbena and Joshua James Duke of Clanton; and three great-grandchildren, Jacob (Jessica) Atkins, Joseph Alexander Duke and Justice A. Duke.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Putirskis Sr.

Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 15 at Martin Funeral Home Chapel.

Services will be held Monday, Oct. 17 at 10 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church with Father Bruce Bumbarger officiating.

Interment will follow in Chestnut Creek Baptist Cemetery in Verbena.
