Jordan Diane Davenport and Michael Anthony Smith announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The couple will wed Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. The ceremony will take place at the home of Sue Lenoir with a reception to follow.


The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Jack Davenport and Tammy and Sam Minor of Clanton. She is the granddaughter of Shirley McCartney, the late Henry Davenport and the late Henrietta and Lamar Wright. She is the 2011 graduate of Isabella High School and is currently on scholarship at Wallace Community College Selma studying cosmetology. She is employed with Pizza Hut.

The prospective groom is the son of Tony and Cathy Smith of Maplesville. He is the grandson of Sue Lenoir, the late Layton Lenoir, Annie Jean Smith and the late Charles (Buddy) Smith. He is a 2010 graduate of Isabella High School and is currently attending South Georgia Technical College in Americus, Ga. on scholarship from Thompson Tractor Co. where he is employed.

The couple will reside in Maplesville. Friends and family are invited to celebrate this day with them.
