Pate-Smith

Jeff and Anita Pate of Jemison are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Haley LaSha Pate, to Howard Quinton Smith III, son of Lenelle and Howard Smith Jr. of Thorsby.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Sue and the late Ralph Hilyer, and the late F.C. and Pauline Pate. She is a 2009 graduate of Jemison High School and presently employed as a dental assistant with Calera Dental Center.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Kathleen and the late O’Neal Porter and the late Howard Quinton and Joann Smith. He is a 2004 graduate of Thorsby High School and is employed with Just Russ Rental in Calera.

The wedding will take place Saturday, Oct. 1 at Anderson Gail Farm in Shelby at 6 p.m. After their honeymoon in the mountains, the couple will make their home in Montevallo.
