Shauna McDaniel and Matthew Westberry are happy to announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Wayne McDaniel, Joyce McDaniel and the late Angie McDaniel of Jemison. She is the granddaughter of Howard V. Gothard and Louise Gothard of Jemison. She is a 2007 graduate of the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science and is currently attending the University of Alabama to pursue her master’s in gifted education.

The prospective groom is the son of Chip Westberry and Margaret Perez of Dothan, and the grandson of Wayne and Dee Clark of Montgomery, and Carl and Patricia Hawkey of Dothan. He is a 2006 graduate of the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science and is attending UA to pursue his master’s in mechanical engineering.

The wedding is set for summer 2012. Invitations will be sent.
