Ms. Leanne Maraman of Montgomery is happy to announce the engagement and upcoming wedding of her daughter, Whitney Shay Cozart, to Justin Len Deavers, son of Greg and Pam Deavers of Jemison.

The bride-elect is the daughter of the late Raymond Andrew Cozart Jr. and granddaughter of Mrs. Patricia H. Maraman of Montgomery. She is a 2011 graduate of Troy University with a degree in history and minor in business administration. She will be pursuing her master’s degree in public administration.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mrs. Dorothy Welch and the late Mr. Bud Welch, Mr. Clyde Deavers and the late Mrs. Vera Deavers, all of Jemison. He is a 2009 graduate of Troy University with a degree in biomedical sciences and will be attending medical school beginning this fall.

The wedding is set for Saturday, July 16, 2011, in the historic First Baptist Church of Montgomery. Invitations are being sent.
