Phillip and Yvonna Benson of Clanton and Neal and DeAnna Clements of Jemison are happy to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their children, Kristin Ann Benson to Van Merchant Clements.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Rodney and Dorothy Benson and Wayne and Martha Burtram. She is a 2006 graduate of Chilton County High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Montevallo. She is employed with the Chilton County Board of Education.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Bette Cofer and the late L.J. Cofer and the late W.C. (Pat) and Lucille Clements. He is a 2005 graduate of Jemison High School and a 2011 graduate of the University of Montevallo.

The wedding is July 9, 2011. Invitations have been sent.
