Mims 95 years young

Amy Mims celebrated her 95th birthday April 22 at The Gardens of Clanton with a huge party where she received gifts from her family, Administrator Vickie P. Moseley, staff and fellow residents.

Four generations of Mims’ family attended the celebration, including her daughter and son-in-law, Joel and Nancy Rogers; granddaughter, Amy Rogers Williams; and great granddaughter, Whitney.

Owner O’Neal Green also made a surprise visit to with Mims a happy birthday. She is the only resident who lived at the assisted living facility before he took ownership.

Chilton County Circuit Court Clerk Glenn McGriff was also in attended, and children from West End Daycare sang “Happy Birthday,” “B-I-B-L-E” and “Jesus Loves Me” to her.
