Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Burnett of Clanton proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Rena, to Steven Cory Fleming, son of Steve and Allyson Fleming of Columbus, Miss.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Billy and Shirley Burnett of Clanton and Lillie Smitherman of Maplesville, and William and Peggy Spigner of Maplesville. She graduated from Chilton County High School and is currently working on an LPN nursing degree.

The prospective groom is the grandson of William and the late Francis Godfrey of Columbus, Miss. and the late Thad and Martha Fleming of Columbus.

He is a graduate of New Hope High School and has served in the Marine Corps for four years as a machine gunner and is currently working and pursuing a degree in construction management.

The couple will be married at 4 p.m. June 4 at Jackson Chapel Church in Clanton.
