As fall sets in and the temperature decreases, the need for warmer clothes to bear the cold becomes vital.

The Nerd Guy is asking everyone to donate coats of all sizes for its 2010 coat drive, Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

“There are 100 kids in the program and in order to get all coat sizes we would like to receive as many as we can,” said owner Rebecca Montalbano.

The drive began Friday and will last until Dec. 9.

Tuesday, Oct. 26, the Chamber of Commerce will hold the official kickoff from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., at The Nerd Guy.

“We will deliver the coats in phases so families can have them as the temperatures lower,” said Montalbano.
